Nice, but it lacks a massive modulated punch for me. Have you considered messing with the filter of the main mid-bass? Its musically very nice, but it doesn't overwhelm my senses. Still, lots of good stuff to work on!

Reali-tGlitch responds:

yeah, not a lot of power behind the drop. At least, in comparison to some of my other works.

A nice blend of vibes, bitcrushed snippets and glitches creating an industrial atmosphere, then you jump into that filthy bass. Dubstep like it was back in '09, very sick. Not sure all of NG will dig the vibes you brought in this. But I loved it. Excellent use of vocal samples too btw.

Most excellent, very catchy and very well mixed though I would've thought a Ghanan submission would perhaps have some djembe, even if just for a small section, maybe just a little more variation? :) In any case an excellent track, look forward greatly to the finished version.

PeppersMoD responds:

Thanks!

I know what you mean about using a djembe or other African drums because that certainly would have sounded native, but the thing is in the beginning I had no idea what direction the piece was going to take and the fact that I had decided not to use any VST's and keep it all authentic meant I was limited to what I had available which fortunately included a Balafon (percussion native to West Africa/Ghana) which I thought would be enough to cover the country.

I also agree about a little more variation because it crossed my mind as well when mixing, but at the time of recording I was thinking to myself that the southern/western world doesn't actually follow our western world's ideology of a song being verse/chorus so I decided to make mine more of a session with the same chord progression throughout but with a few solos just to keep things lively.

Anyway cheers again and i'll be sure to leave some feedback on your more recent submission as soon as I get a chance.

AxTekk, again, and while its classless to review a track twice, just wanted to say while I chatted shit to try and get something like pre-battle tension going, the piece- of- shit Empire deserve every diss you give out, and before leaving another review should take a second to think about why they're mad.

I think its because despite the low production value of this track its far above their shitty level.

Teqneek responds:

You hit one of the nails on the head homie. I'll hit the other ones in the battle. Thanks for the words dude, peace.

Beat's fucking solid, your delivery is confident. However: Your lyrics are clichéd and two dimensional, your style is unoriginal and if the rest of clabtrap fail to maul you to death, expect yours truly to do the job.

That little about fractions, I think I can make a bit of a diss outta that. Watch this space, diss track be coming soon.

EmpireMusic responds:

we really couldn't comprehend or understand your comment except for the first part about delivery and confidence, thank you :D

Is shit going down?

AxTekk responds:

Hope so broski. I hope so.

I'd love to sample/ remix this. Shitty ass recording quality, but there's some serious soul to that :)

hidrolisk responds:

I'm glad you liked it :)
Remix? I wanted to make some other version, adding drums from other song, but nothing seemed to add up (I'm not that good in mixing and I don't have any equipment, only my cell phone and laptop; even converting the file was made by my friend). Hope you make something awesome and epic out of this "Shitty ass recording quality". Looking forward to hear it.
Oh, 5 stars? Thx! ;)
I'll let you know when I'll post something new.

Shit's gorgeous :D

OK, drums were excellent, the wubs killed, you had an interesting part in the strings going on. Just a few issues: The wubs and the strings playing at the same time muddied stuff up quite a bit. I think If you had the wubs and a filthy sub together, but no strings when the bass is going, stuff would be awesome (or maybe staccato hits on the strings). Also, I thought the orchestration on the whole could be a bit clearer, maybe have a wider stereo field for your strings? I think, using some brass, some piano would help thicken things out without stuff getting muddy. On the whole excellent though :)

Shit's beastly!

I can rap over this? :D

IrKuro responds:

You can do whatever you want, sweetie ;)
